TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY

Preserve your family story, and perform saving ordinances for them in the temple

Temple and Family History

Family history is discovering our family members, gathering information about them and their story, and preserving that information. It is also performing saving ordinances for them in temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. FamilySearch.org and the FamilySearch Tree and FamilySearch Memories apps are the Church’s primary resources to accomplish family history work.

Leadership Help

This section has information and guides to help Temple and Family History leaders with work of salvation in our stake.  By participating in temple and family history service, we discover more about ourselves and our ancestors. We can connect with our ancestors by performing essential ordinances for them in temples. As we help our deceased family members progress on the covenant path, we can increase the influence of the Spirit in our lives and deepen our testimonies of the plan of salvation. Learn more about your role in Temple and Family History.
